The Paddy Power World Darts Championship, the 2025 edition of the tournament, will crown one of the first world champions of the new year on January 3, the date of the tournament’s grand final following three weeks of intense matches at the Alexandra Palace in London.

Big prize money for 2025 WDC

This prestigious title, awarded to the victor of the world’s most significant darts competition, comes with not only global recognition but also a substantial financial reward for the player’s efforts throughout the tournament.

The organizers of the Paddy Power WDC will allocate a total prize fund of £2.5 million (c.$3 million) to the players participating in the event.

The tournament champion will claim the Sid Waddell Trophy, certifying them as the best darts player in the world, along with winnings of £500,000 (c.$604,000). Meanwhile, the runner-up will take home a significant £200,000 (c.$242,000). The two semifinalists will each receive £100,000 (c.$121,000).

The remaining prize pool is distributed as follows:

  • £50,000 (c.$60,000) for quarterfinalists.
  • £35,000 (c.$42,000) for players eliminated in the Round of 16.
  • £25,000 (c.$30,000) for those who reach the third round.
  • £15,000 (c.$18,000) for players advancing to the second round.
  • £7,500 (c.$9,000) for players who are eliminated in the first round, recognizing their achievement in qualifying for the world’s premier darts competition.
