Update:

The PGA Tour heads to McKinney, Texas this week for the CJ Cup Bryson Nelson, one of two tour events played in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The TPC Craig Ranch will play host to the action, with the entire field chasing world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is looking to record his first win at the tournament. Scheffler is 18-under par after two rounds and will be able to rest on Saturday until his tee time for round three, which will be late afternoon as some golfers have yet to begin round two. A rain delay made a mess of things on Friday and now many golfers will have to get to the course early Saturday morning to finish (or even begin) round three.

After a sluggish start on Friday, Scheffler pulled away from the pack shooting 8-under par to put him six shots ahead of his nearest competitor.

What is the cut line for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson?

Some golfers will have to continue round two as early as 7:15 a.m. ET and the first tee time for those who didn’t even start round two is at 8:15 a.m. ET. The current cutline sits at 4-under par, which means that some big names such as Zach Johnson (+1) and Matt Kuchar (-2) will be heading home early.

The CJ Cup Byron Nelson is a key charity fundraiser on the PGA Tour and has raised more than $143 million for a variety of charities over the years.

The tournament is named after legendary golfer Byron Nelson, a Texan who is remembered for winning 11 consecutive tournaments in 1945. He held the record of 113 consecutive cuts made until Tiger Woods racked up an incredible 142, more than half a century later.
