What’s the cutline at the Memorial Tournament 2025?
Scottie Scheffler returns from his PGA Championship win and finds himself in the running at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

The action continued at Muirfield Village Golf Club on Friday with day two of the Memorial Tournament. The PGA Tour event was first established in 1976 and the course was famously designed with the help of legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.
On day two the play was threatened by spells of rain at some points but the players will be able to complete the course as planned, setting up a weekend of fascinating action.
PGA Championship winner Scottie Scheffler returns to action at the Memorial and carded two rounds of 70 to leave himself at 4-under ahead of the cut. With a number of golfers yet to complete their second rounds we don’t know exactly where the cutline will be but the PGA Tour website predicts a cutline at 4-over, a testament to the tough conditions that players are facing.

Scheffler is the defending champions at the Memorial and he is in contention to retain the title this time around. Ahead of the weekend’s play he sounded confident about picking up another Memorial Tournament win.
“When you show up to an event, everybody’s at even par,” Scheffler explained on Wednesday. “People ask, I feel like a lot, ‘What’s it like defending this week?’ I’m like, ‘Well, what does that do for me? Nothing’. I have some experience on the golf course that can be helpful, but at the end of the day, you start even par, and I want to be in contention on Sunday, and you definitely don’t show up too high or too low.”
“My third week in a row, but I got some good rest to start,” Scheffler continued. “Last week, after the PGA, I got some good rest Monday and Tuesday and had a good start at Colonial. Took my day off, came here, played nine holes yesterday, played nine holes this morning, so feeling ready for the week.”
However it was fellow American Ben Griffin who has made the early running, carding an impressive 7-under 65 to start the tournament. He is currently level with Canada Nick Taylor on seven-under at the top of the leaderboard, although Griffin is yet to complete his second round at the time of writing.
