When does Gervonta Davis fight Frank Martin?

Earlier in February, it was reported that Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) would defend his World Boxing Association lightweight title against Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs). Now, ‘Tank’ has announced both the date and the venue for the fight.

Through an Instagram post, Davis revealed that his title defense against Martin will take place on June 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This fight will headline the Premier Boxing Champions pay-per-view event.

The 29-year-old boxer has been inactive since his victory over ‘King Ry’ last April, as he was placed under house arrest following a car accident in Baltimore in November 2020. Less than a month into his house arrest, the boxer violated the terms and was required to serve the remainder of his sentence in jail.

David Benavidez to Feature on the Davis vs. Martin Undercard

In announcing his fight, Davis also highlighted the co-main event, which will delight boxing fans. David Benavidez, known as the ‘Mexican Monster,’ will face Oleksandr Gvozdyk on the same night.
