The Los Angeles Country Club hosted the 123rd U.S. Open Golf Championship.

During the last round of the third major of this year’s season, Fowler and Scheffler were eliminated early due to errors, leaving only Wyndham Clark and Rory McIlroy, a four-time major winner, in a two-man battle.

Wyndham Clark, who is 29 years old, had made the cut in two majors, but his confidence was boosted after winning his first PGA Tour at the Wells Fargo Championship five weeks ago.

He entered the competition with optimism, and his impressive performance in the final 18 holes demonstrated this.

Who has won the U.S. Open the most times?

Jack Nicklaus has some company in the “Four Wins Club” at the U.S. Open - Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, and Ben Hogan are all hanging out there too. Winning the U.S. Open three times is as rare as finding a unicorn in a haystack. Only Hale Irwin and Tiger Woods have been lucky enough to spot one!

Woods won’t be joining Nicklaus and the others anytime soon, as he announced he wouldn’t be playing in 2023.
