School activities at Morgan Academy were suspended for a week to allow the community time to mourn. The cause of his injury is still under investigation, but it is believed to have been a ruptured blood vessel in his brain following the tackle.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Caden Tellier has gone to be with his Lord and Savior. Caden loved the Lord with all his heart and was a shining light every day he graced the halls of Morgan Academy,” said Bryan Oliver from Morgan Academy.
Caden’s passing is a somber reminder of the risks associated with contact sports, especially at the high school level, where player safety is a paramount concern.
