We have reached the sixth round of the Formula 1 World Championship, and the Miami International Circuit hosted this historic race. British driver Lando Norris, representing McLaren, secured his first victory in the top tier of motorsports.

For Lando, it was an actual race of endurance and emotions on the surface, in which he kept at bay the pilots who had been fighting for the first shots; Norris was 7.6 seconds faster than Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen, who looked unstoppable once again this season, having already won four of the first five races before Miami.

Verstappen started the race from the pole position but unfortunately lost his lead after crashing into a chicane and had to enter the pits. Despite this setback, Lando remained optimistic and kept the team’s hopes alive until the race’s final lap. In the end, Lando’s brilliant performance brought joy to the team, and he finished the race on a high note.

Norris has already stockpiled 110 races in his F1 career, and this season, he has collected 83 points, which places him in fourth place in the drivers’ championship, making him the best McLaren driver in the classification after six races (Oscar Piastri has 41 points and is sixth place).

It’s about time, huh? What a race! It’s been a long time coming, but finally, I’ve been able to do it. I’m so happy for my whole team, I finally delivered for them.said the Briton after finishing the race.

Max Verstappen sealed the podium in second position and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in third. For his part, Lando Norris has amassed 16 podiums since he arrived in F1 in 2019 after Sunday’s victory.

  • La siguiente fecha del calendario es el Emilia Romagna Grand Prix a celebrarse del 17 al 19 de mayo en Italia.
