Alex Morgan, only USWNT player to appear in EA Sports FC 24 Top 10
The NWSL’s San Diego Wave striker made it into the top ten in the first edition of the Electronic Arts video game, after severing ties with FIFA.
One of the most high profile women’s soccer players in recent history of the US team is undoubtedly Alex Morgan, with the striker winning two World Cups with the United States Women’s National Team (Canada 2015, France 2019) along with a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Despite a poor showing from the USA at this years 2023 Women’s World Cup, Morgan is the only USA player who makes it into the top ten of the new EA Sports FC 24 video game.
Morgan is still at the top of her game as her San Diego Wave side top the NWSL standings and with an overall rating of 89 Morgan is joined be some pf the elite names in the women’s game.
Alexia Putellas holds the highest rating with (91), followed by the Golden Ball winner at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Aitana Bonmatí (90), who in turn is tied with both Sam Kerr and Caroline Graham Hansen.
Other high profile names in the top ten include Alexandra Popp (Germany and Wolfsburg), Guro Reiten (Chelsea and Norway) and Marie-Antoniette Katoto (France and PSG) who all boast an 88 rating with Morgan the only American player to feature in the top level.

Morgan’s San Diego Wave have 30 points in the regular season NWSL standings after 9 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses. The 34-year-old is on a scoring drought in the North American league having failed to find the target since 20 May and will be hoping to address this as San Diego face KC Current on Saturday, 16 September.
