It’s official: Carlo Ancelotti will be Brazil’s next head coach as soon as the 2024/25 season comes to an end with Real Madrid. The Italian will embark on a new chapter in his career as he takes on his first international challenge at the national team level. Brazil have lacked stability and lost some of the gloss that made the Seleçao such a formidable opponent in the past and with the 2026 World Cup just over a year away, CBF chief, Ednaldo Rodrígues’ dream will come at a high cost.

ESPN has revealed the salary that Ancelotti will earn as soon as he takes over as Brazil’s national team coach. The Italian will earn $850,000 per month—around $10 million per year—which will represent a historic outlay for the Brazilian national team.

Ancelotti is set to earn more than double that of both Tite (a legend on the coaching benches in the country) and Dorival Júnior, the last two coaches who were in charge of the Brazilian bench.
