Ángel Di María equals Cristiano Ronaldo for number of trophies won
The Argentine, with his recent Copa América win, has drawn level with the Portuguese star.
Ángel Di María was crowned Copa América champion for the second consecutive time and lifted his third title with La Albiceleste. With this win, he said goodbye to the national team and added one more trophy to his extensive list of titles.
Di María almost won at least one title in every team where he played, with only Manchester United, Juventus and Rosario Central, where he started his career, was he unable to achieve anything. As for the club where he won the most, that honour goes to PSG, where we won 19 trophies.

Di María’s thirty-five titles are as follows: 1 World Cup, 2 Copa Américas, Olympic gold, 1 Champions League (with Real Madrid), 1 European Super Cup, 2 Copas del Rey and 1 Spanish Super Cup; 5 French Cups with PSG, 4 French League Cups, 5 French Super Cups, 5 Ligue 1 titles; 1 Portuguese league, 1 Super Cup and 2 League Cups with Benfica. And finally, a U-20 World Cup and a CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup (Finalissima) winner with La Albiceleste.
With this list of honours, the Argentine drew level with Cristiano Ronaldo for the most titles. The Portuguese player shares the same number of trophies between clubs and the Portuguese national team (not counting individual awards).
Ángel Di María had announced that the Copa América would be his farewell to the Argentine national team and Lionel Scaloni did not hesitate to allow a few minutes for Messi’s teammate to receive the affection of his teammates and the fans at the Hard Rock Stadium.
