Bayern Munich are not listening to offers for Olise… for now

World Cup sensation. What might his price be now? How far can he go? Michael Olise has become one of the standout figures of the World Cup. Just one game has been enough for the France international to confirm everything he showed throughout the season at Bayern Munich. A different kind of player, one with whom the Bavarian side has found a genuine treasure, a jewel of incalculable value. The consequence of all this is that Bayern are already making it clear they have little intention of parting ways with him. Real Madrid and PSG dream of him, but the reality, at least for the moment, is very different.

The equation is very simple. More games, more time and a higher valuation every day. This is not just any emergence, but that of a player capable of stepping onto the throne of the game’s biggest stars without any problem. His value is multiplying and there appears to be no limit. He keeps growing at a remarkable pace and, in that sense, the World Cup is the perfect showcase for multiplying a player’s value.

In Munich, they are aware that everything he does over the next month will have a direct impact on the balance sheet of a club that knows how to manage its assets in relation to its squad in an exceptional way. It is not a selling club, but neither does it turn its back on reality. Even so, Bayern executives have already informed clubs that at one point showed interest in signing the talented winger not to bother, because he is not for sale.

The election campaign at Real Madrid acted as a brake on many situations, but it also awakened that instinct that had been lying dormant at the club – the desire to once again pursue what could be, if he is not already, a major reference point in world soccer. That is how they view Olise, but they know that operation has now become almost impossible.

The club’s executives, or rather Florentino Pérez, fulfilled the election promise of making a €150 million ($173 million) offer for a player considered among the very best. They did so for Julián Álvarez, giving unusual official status to a rejected proposal, something out of the ordinary and difficult to understand outside the context of an election campaign and a campaign promise. The supporters had proof that words are not simply carried away by the wind and that behind those promises stands the strength of the Real Madrid president through 2030.

The message has not changed and Olise is not for sale, but right now the player holds the key. Enigmatic in many of his attitudes, but with quality far beyond the norm when the ball is at his feet. Should it reach that point, the German club will sit down with him to analyze his situation. They know they are obliged to improve the contract of what is perhaps the most highly valued player in the game at the moment.

Meanwhile, in Germany they claim Bayern would not mind making history by surpassing the €222 million ($256 million) PSG paid for Neymar. The summer is long. So long that it has not even started yet.
