Chelsea fans raging at Todd Boehly after defeat to Real Madrid
Chelsea fans were angry with Todd Boehly after the defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was full of confidence before his side took on Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the Champions League at the Bernabéu in the Spanish capital, predicting a 3-0 win against the 14-time European champions and asking fans to believe in the team. That bold claim, followed up a rather tame 2-0 defeat has not gone down well with Chelsea fans.
Fans of the London-based side turned to social media, as people often do these days, to express their annoyance at Chelsea’s defeat and especially towards Boehly for his comments prior to the match.
The fans’ annoyance in particular was aimed at the American owner’s management of the club since he took over. In under a year he’s been through three coaches and has chucked cash at the transfer market, picking up players some fans feel were overpriced.

Sarah Owen thinks there’s only ONE person to blame. And it’s not any of the managers. What’s odd is that in FIFA you can’t actually field a team made up entirely of midfielders, but we sort of get what she’s saying.
Jonathan Azu Marcus has a reasoned point and then all he can do is start shouting. He is not happy.
The solution for Kai-Enzo is Roman (Abramovic), which may be, er, geopolitically difficult.
