It is set to be a busy summer at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal keen to strengthen their squad as they look to challenge Manchester City in the Premier League once again. Midfielders Declan Rice (West Ham) and Moises Caicedo (Brighton) are among the transfer targets. Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is another player on the Gunners’ radar.

Arsenal set to complete deal for Havertz

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Havertz is set to join Arsenal and personal terms have been agreed. Arteta sees the forward as ideal competition for Gabriel Jesus, although the two could also complement each other on the pitch. For the deal to happen, Arsenal will have to meet Chelsea’s demands. Sky report that the final fee for Arsenal would be in the region of €80m.

Bayern interested

Havertz, 24, can play in several attacking positions, through the middle, on the right, and also on the left. His versatility has also attracted the attention of Bayern Munich, although negotiations with Arsenal are too far advanced for the Bundesliga champions to make a move for the Chelsea man.
