Chelsea have splashed out on several new signings in the last two transfer windows as owner Todd Boehly continues to build at Stamford Bridge.
But who are the most expensive signings in the club’s history?

Mykhailo Mudryk - €70m
Mudryk joined Chelsea for an initial €70, with a further €30m potentially due in performance-related add-ons.
Arsenal offered the same amounts and split as Chelsea, but he choose the blue side of London, who offered slightly more money to the player and the exciting winger has signed a deal until 2031.
Kepa Arrizabalaga - €80m
Chelsea paid an extortionate fee for the Spanish shot-stopper in the summer of 2018.
He joined the London club from Athletic Club, where he came through the youth setup before becoming the club’s number one.
After a couple of loan spells away to continue his development, he was given the responsibility between the sticks at San Mamés and later earned himself a big-money move to the Premier League.
However, it hasn’t been plain sailing for Kepa, who has been in and out of the Chelsea side for several seasons.
Kai Havertz - €80m
Havertz left Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen to move to Stamford Bridge in 2020.
Chelsea will say it was money well spent, especially after the German forward scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Manchester City in 2021.
Wesley Fofana - €80.4m
French news outlet L’Équipe claimed the offer that was accepted plus bonuses would make Fofana the most expensive defender of all time, should a part of the bonus structure be attained, and eclipse the €87m that Manchester United paid Leicester City for centre-back Harry Maguire.
Fofana was becoming increasingly unsettled at Leicester due to the club’s rejection of two bids from Chelsea as he was under the impression that Leicester would allow him to leave the club should a “substantial” offer arrive.
Leicester rejected two bids in the region of €65m from Chelsea and eventually got what they wanted when the London club offered just over €80m for the talented defender.
Romelu Lukaku - €113m
Romelu Lukaku was brought to Chelsea in his prime and a Serie A champion for a huge fee in the summer of 2021.
Some players enjoy the pressure of the hefty price tag over their heads, while others wilt. Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer said it made him feel more powerful, and maybe Lukaku did too, when he scored after only 15 minutes in his second debut against Arsenal at the Emirates.
In a poor second spell at the club, he netted just eight Premier League goals before returning to Inter, where he currently plays on loan.
Enzo Fernández - €121m
World Cup winner Enzo Fernández broke Jack Grealish’s transfer fee to Manchester City to become the most expensive British transfer of all time when he joined Chelsea from Benfica in a last-minute deal before the January transfer window slammed shut.
