Chivas Guadalajara just carried out a major roster shake‑up, parting ways with seven players ahead of the upcoming tournament. That means the club is actively searching for reinforcements, and Ángel Sepúlveda has now landed in Guadalajara to finalize his move to the club.

Sepúlveda joins Los Rojiblancos fresh off a strong stint with Cruz Azul, where he consistently found the net whenever he stepped on the field and quickly became one of the coaching staff’s most trusted options off the bench.

Sepúlveda’s second Chivas chance

Upon arrival in Guadalajara on Wednesday, Sepúlveda spoke briefly with the media, expressing how excited he was to return to Chivas. He previously spent a short spell with the club, appearing in just 10 matches and scoring once before moving on from El Rebaño Sagrado. From there, his career took him to Necaxa, Tijuana, and later Cruz Azul.

A product of Monarcas Morelia’s academy, Sepúlveda played there before joining Toros Neza in the Ascenso MX. He returned to the first division with Atlante, then moved to Querétaro, where he scored 41 goals. After another stint with Monarcas and a move to Necaxa, the trajectory that fans now know well began to take shape.
