Two of the biggest Spanish-language media around have joined forces just in time for the MLS Cup. Diario AS and Fútbol de Primera are teaming up to bring new content to Hispanic audiences in the United States, and what better way to begin than with Major League Soccer’s showpiece fixture?

On Friday 8 December at 5:00 p.m. ET, Andrés Cantor, one of the most renowned Spanish-language soccer commentators and personalities in the United States and beyond, will be across AS.com to preview the title decider between Columbus Crew and LAFC, who meet on Saturday 9 December at 4:00 p.m. ET.

“It will be an even final between two teams who have well-defined styles of play”, Cantor predicts. “Two fantastic goalscorers and players who had great seasons will go head-to-head”, he adds, referring to The Crew’s Colombian forward Cucho Hernández and Gabonese international Denis Bouanga, who will start in attack for LAFC.

Tradition and credibility

Diario AS, one of the leading Spanish-language digital sports media in the United States and the Americas, joins forces with Fútbol de Primera, which has been at the forefront of Spanish-language soccer coverage across the American continent for over 30 years.

Fútbol de Primera is delighted to collaborate with AS, one of the undisputed leaders of Spanish-speaking journalism. Together we will continue to engage more and more with soccer fans in the United States,” stated FDP director Cantor.

A passion for and commitment to providing soccer journalism of the highest quality unite the two partners, whose collaboration will bring Hispanic audiences closer to soccer’s biggest events in 2024.
