Eric Cantona embarks on sell-out tour to promote first EP
The former Manchester United footballer and now professional singer will be touring in Ireland and the UK to promote his first EP.

Former football icon Eric Cantona is now looking to launch a new career as a recording artist. The former French player who announced his departure into the world of music earlier this year has confirmed that three of his shows on his forthcoming ‘Cantona Sings Eric’ tour have sold out.
Cantona is set to release his first EP on 20 October “I’ll Make My Own Heaven” and his departure into music follows previous ventures into the arts after performing in theater, cinema cameos and a brief spell as an artist.
The Frenchman is set to play two dates in Manchester and London and a one-off show in Dublin at the end of October with shows added in the two English cities after the first concerts sold out and the extra dates now only offering limited ticket availability.
Tickets for the shows are available via Ticketmaster with both shows in Manchester’s Stoller Hall expected to sell out in a city where Cantona is still fondly remembered among the red half of the northern English city.

“In football I started young, and little by little I started playing in front of 100, then 500, then 1,000 people,” he emphasizes. What I feel today is more like the months before my first time in the theater. It’s not fear, it’s emotion. We often confuse stage fright, which paralyzes, and emotion, which galvanizes,” he stressed months ago when he was questioned about his new project.
