Fede Valverde scored a first-half hat trick for Real Madrid against Manchester City to join an illustrious list of players to have netted a treble for the LaLiga giants in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads Real Madrid’s Champions League hat trick list

Karim Benzema bagged four trebles for Madrid in Europe’s elite club competition, while Kylian Mbappé has already scored three Champions League hat tricks despite only joining the club in the summer of 2024.

Other Real Madrid players with Champions League trebles

Ronaldo, Benzema and Mbappé are the only players with multiple Champions League hat tricks for Real Madrid. Raúl, Ronaldo Nazário, Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior are the other players to have scored three goals in a single game in the UCL era.

Six players scored Real Madrid hat tricks in the European Cup including Alfredo Di Stefano (five) and Ferenc Puskás (five).

Valverde joins rare first-half hat trick club
