Karim Benzema, who was signed by Florentino Pérez in 2009, did not want to forget his former club and posted a photo on Instagram alongside Pérez.

The French striker publicly backed the current Real Madrid president despite now playing in Saudi Arabia. Even from abroad, Benzema did not miss the opportunity to support the man who first believed in him.

Florentino Pérez was always one of Benzema’s strongest defenders, even during the striker’s most difficult moments at Real Madrid, when he faced heavy criticism from sections of the fanbase during his early years in Madrid.

Benzema has clearly not forgotten that support and has now returned the gesture ahead of the presidential election scheduled for Sunday, June 7.
