Today, Tuesday 7 November, is a day for Eduardo Camavinga at Real Madrid. Los Blancos officially announced his contract extension until 2029. The Frenchman joined the Chamartín team in the summer of 2021, and before two years have passed since his arrival, Madrid has not hesitated to amplify the deal and increase his salary, given the exceptional performances he has shown on the pitch. Camavinga is one of the most important players for manager Carlo Ancelotti, and he has also demonstrated his versatility by playing in various positions, including left-back. The fans are delighted with him.

Camavinga extends; Bale remembered

His agent, Jonathan Barnett, was present in Valdebebas, Madrid’s training complex, today for the official announcement of this extension. Barnett is a familiar figure to Florentino Pérez, as he was Gareth Bale’s representative during his time at Real Madrid. The cameras of El Chiringuito caught up with the agent in the Spanish capital in the morning and asked him about how the former Welsh player is doing and if he misses the team. Some translation missteps aside, Barnett’s response was clear enough: “Yes,” he replied.

Gareth Bale and Real Madrid

Bale left Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. The Welsh player ended his tenure with more shadows than highlights, primarily due to the injuries that plagued him in the latter seasons and his declining performance whenever he took to the field. His overall contribution to Madrid was positive, though, as he departed having won five Champions League titles, playing a crucial role in many of them, such as the victory against Liverpool in 2018 and scoring the pivotal goal during the comeback in La Décima (The Tenth) in 2014 against Atlético. Bale retired from the game in January after a brief stint in MLS, specifically with Los Angeles FC.

Barnett not only responded to the question about Bale but also had the opportunity to discuss the recently renewed Camavinga and his eagerness to have a long and successful career at Real Madrid. He called it “fantastic,” said it’s “a dream for him and for everyone,” that he loved Madrid and that he’s hoping to be here for a long time to come.
