Haaland’s father mad at Arsenal for mocking his son: “What have you won?”
Sunday’s 5-1 defeat to the Gunners was made even bearable as some players made fun of the City striker.

The tension between Arsenal and Manchester City was evident once again in this evening’s clash at the Emirates - a game that put Haaland right in the spotlight, as has been the case lately.
In a humiating 5-1 defeat - City’s heaviest loss this season, Arsenal’s young defender, Myles Lewis-Skelly rubbed salt in the wounds by mimicking the Norwegian striker’s signature meditation pose while celebrating his goal. The London club stuck the boot in further by deliberately choosing a photo of the celebration to underline their victory on full-time. “This team!” they exclaimed on X.
Alfie Haaland’s responds to Arsenal jibes
Alfie Haaland, the City striker’s father, was quick to respond to Arsenal’s social media post. He fired back with a direct message: “This team that wins everything. Ehhhhh, no.” His comment quickly went viral.
The tension surrounding Haaland didn’t end there. Gabriel Magalhães celebrated the first goal right in Haaland’s face.
City’s title hopes in tatters
At the end of the match, as Haaland was being booed by the home fans, he pointed to the badge on his shirt, indicating that Man City are the current Premier League champions.
The result leaves Arsenal on 50 points - just six behind leaders Liverpool, who have played a game less. City’s hopes o retaining the title meanwhile are fading fast - Guardiola’s team sit fourth on 41 points but could drop further down the order if Chelsea beat West Ham on Monday night.
