The Dominican Republic are on the verge of glory in the 2022 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship and they are set to play the United States in the final on Sunday night. The Dominicans have been lethal in the counter attacks and Edison Azcona has been crucial during the knockout stages.

The Inter Miami striker scored a crucial goal to tie the game against Guatemala on Friday night to force the penalties. Azcona also scored the winning goal in the Dominican Republic’s 5-4 win over El Salvador in the Round of 16 earlier this week.

Azcano has played all the games this tournament with the Dominican Republic and registered two goals and one assist. The playmaker also made his debut in Major League Soccer on 12 March in Inter Miami’s 2-0 defeat against LAFC.
