José Mourinho to reject ‘astonishing’ contract offer
Mourinho was in London to meet with a delegation from Al Ahli.
José Mourinho wants to continue coaching in Europe. According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho was part of a face-to-face meeting in London regarding a move away from Italy.
The Roma coach met with a delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by the president of Al Ahli. The Jeddah-based club want to hire the Portuguese tactician and put “lots of money” on the table. The idea is a long-term project, which would also make Mou an international ambassador for Saudi football.
Mourinho to stay at Roma
The Italian outlet reports that the contract would be for at least two years “with staggering figures” both for him and his coaching staff, but everything suggests Mourinho will turn the offer down and stay in Serie A.
Mourinho, barring a huge surprise, will remain at Roma, a club he would only leave if an offer from PSG, Real Madrid or, perhaps, Newcastle was made.
