Update:

Kylian Mbappé's transfer to Real Madrid looks set to be confirmed today (Monday 3 June) after the forward was captured on camera seemingly discussing his upcoming move with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France.

Mbappé has joined up with the French national team ahead of the 2024 European Championship, with Macron visiting the camp ahead of the tournament.

It had already been reported by AS that Real Madrid would almost certainly confirm the 25-year-old’s signing on Monday or Tuesday this week, with France playing a Euro 2024 warm-up game against Luxembourg on Wednesday.

It now seems as if Monday will be the day, with Mbappé's conversation with Marcon heard loud and clear in a video shared by French media outlet RMC Sport.

This is how the (most important part of the) conversation went.

- Macron: “Kylian, how are you? Are you in good shape?”

- Mbappé: “I’m good”.

- Macron: “Is it today that it’s going to be announced?”

- Mbappé: “Tonight, tonight”.
