LaLiga vs. Racism matchball to be used across Spanish top flight games next weekend
The ball designed by graffiti artist Suso33 will be used in all LaLiga EA Sports, Hypermotion and Liga F games over the weekend of March 21/22.

Another weekend and another episode of racism blighted Spanish football as Castellon player Alberto Jimenez was alleged to have called Real Sociedad ‘B’ defender Kazunari Kita a ‘f*ucking Chinese’ during Saturday’s second division clash in San Sebastian.
Yesterday in @RSZubieta_ vs @CDCastellon the racism protocol was put in place following Kita informing the referee that Alberto Jimenez had made a racist comment

This follows the previous weekend when Elche striker Rafa Mir uttered a racist slur at Espanyol defender Omar El Hilali suggesting the 22-year-old had arrived illegally on a dinghy.

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr. too, has been subjected to racist abuse at countless grounds as LaLiga look to take infractors to court and ensure that football stadiums do not become safe havens for those who wish to insult players based on their race.

LaLiga vs. Racism
As part of LaLiga’s ongoing anti-racism campaign, next weekend for matchday 29 in EA Sports and matchday 31 in LaLiga Hypermotion, a special matchball will be used to highlight the ongoing campaign to eradicate racism and xenophobia in football and society.
The design for the ball has been created by urban artist SUSO33, one of Spain’s leading graffiti and urban artists.
The ball features a striking design with the message: ‘Our united strength against racism, only together can we win.’
The ball which will also be used for the matchday Liga F fixtures serves as a symbol of unity, equality and respect that makes the ball much more than just the centre of the game.
The LaLiga initiative will involve clubs, players, fans and social organisations in a collective effort to build a safe and tolerant environment, free from discrimination.
