The Argentinian World Cup winner will be officially unveiled in an “exciting night of entertainment” from the DRV PNK Stadium.
Lionel Messi will be officially presented as an Inter Miami player in a special event, ‘The Unveil’, later this week.
Miami announced that the event will begin at 8pm (ET) / 5pm (PT) at the club’s DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The unveiling of the Argentinian World Cup winner is a huge moment for fans of soccer in the United States and players, officials and supporters are eager to see Messi make his mark on MLS.

“It’s the biggest day in probably MLS history, right? It’s the best player that the sport of soccer has ever had in my opinion, for what that’s worth,” said Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin.

Fans around the world will be tuning in to watch the event live, despite it clashing with another major event in American soccer. The Gold Cup final takes place on Sunday, with USMNT now just one win from making it to the finale.
The Athletic reports that Messi’s unveiling could be featured at half time in the Gold Cup final broadcast. That hasn’t yet been confirmed by broadcasters, but we do know that the entire Lionel Messi Inter Miami presentation will be available to watch and stream live.

When is Messi’s Inter Miami presentation?
The Unveil will take with kick off at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday 16 July.
Messi’s presentation is expected to get started at 8pm (ET) / 5pm (PT).
In the statement, the MLS club did not mention Messi by name but hinted at what fans can expect this from the event:
“Inter Miami CF announced a major unveiling event set for Sunday, July 16 at 6 p.m. ET at DRV PNK Stadium. Fans will be able to enjoy an exciting night of entertainment, on-the-pitch speeches and more!”
How can I watch Messi’s Inter Miami presentation?
The event will be broadcast live on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass and talks are reportedly underway to make it available to stream on other channels.
The likes of Fox, Univision, FuboTV and Concacaf - the Gold Cup organiser - are thought to be in contact with MLS with a view to airing a portion of The Unveil.
