Liverpool take on Sheffield United as they look to keep up with Arsenal and stay ahead of Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title. However, they will have to play the game at Anfield with a number of injured players.

Here is the latest update on all the players who are unavailable for Liverpool against Sheffield United:

Is Endo injured? When will he be back?

A surprise addition and an even more surprising fundamental cog in the Red wheel, Wataru Endo has shown himself to be a superb signing for Liverpool this season. “Wataru, what a player, what a guy” Klopp said as he admitted that Endo is a doubt for the game, “he got a knock in the last game, so we have to see for tomorrow what we can do with him.”

One player who is set to feature is Curtis Jones. Klopp said that the midfielder “is in training, full training, and is in contention. That doesn’t mean he can play 90 minutes, [but] he can play a few minutes.”

Will Trent Alexander Arnold and Andy Robertson play against Sheffield United?

The two full-backs, a pair of keystones in Klopp’s side over the years, have both struggled with fitness recently. Trent, Liverpool’s vice-captain, was forced off at half-time in the win over Burnley on February 10. Klopp gave an update on both Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota, saying the two “are together in a group, which helps both, but [it] looks like from next week on they will be hopefully in parts of team training, and then we will see the rest.”

As for Robertson, who missed Liverpool’s win over Brighton due to an ankle injury he sustained on international duty with Scotland, he is set to be back in the squad and Klopp hinted at a potential place in the side, saying he was back in contention and “very important, by the way.”

Fitness update on Alisson

Liverpool first-choice goalkeeper Alisson has missed his side’s last 11 matches with a hamstring problem; Caoimhín Kelleher has stepped in superbly well and will do so again versus Sheffield United.

Bajčetić, Matip, Alcantara, Doak all long-term issues

The four aforementioned players - Stefan Bajčetić, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Ben Doak - will not play for Liverpool this season. The Spanish midfielder may even have already played his last game for the club, as he looks set to move on in the summer.

Liverpool play Sheffield United on Thursday 4 April with kick-off at . The game at Anfield kicks off at 2:30 p.m. ET/11.30 p.m. PT. Remember, you can watch a live stream of the game on Peacock. As for the other teams in the title race, Arsenal beat Luton Town yesterday and Manchester City got past Aston Villa later in the evening.

That leaves the Premier League table wide open: Liverpool are just behind Arsenal with the upcoming game in hand while Guardiola’s side are praying for the amazing Anfield record to be finally broken once again. If you’re superstitious, don’t read up on why it might be tonight...
