The UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals have arrived, and one of the standout ties sees Manchester United host Bayern Munich in a first-leg clash packed with intrigue.

This is unfamiliar territory for United, who are competing in the latter stages of Europe’s top competition for the first time. Bayern Munich, meanwhile, advanced automatically after a strong league-phase campaign. Despite an early setback against Barcelona, they recovered well and are chasing their first UWCL title.
