Update:

Nottingham Forest have submitted an official bid for Arsenal and USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner, reports Fabrizio Romano on Friday.

Talks between the two clubs are said to be advancing for the 29-year-old. Arsenal are also working with Brentford on completing the transfer of fellow shot-stopper David Raya.

USMNT No 1

Turner, 29, has established himself as the USA’s No 1, but his club career has seen him struggle for game time in north London, playing only seven times under Mikel Arteta last season.

If Raya were to join Arsenal, Turner would become third-choice at the Emirates, behind Aaron Ramsdale and the Spain international.

He plied his trade in MLS until Arsenal signed him in 2022, a year after he made his debut with the USMNT, and has gone to represent his country 32 times.
