The elections called at the club have halted many players aiming to wear white, including Rodri, Silva, Gvardiol, Fernández, Vitinha, João Neves.

Open season on Real Madrid: offers coming from every direction
Real Madrid cannot exactly boast about its competitive achievements over the past two seasons. The atmosphere surrounding the club has become so tense that it has even triggered an unexpected presidential election process.Despite the uncertainty, countless players continue to wait for their chance or actively seek an opportunity to join the Spanish giants, or at the very least see their names linked with the 15-time European champions.
The Real Madrid transfer connections
The upcoming vote by Real Madrid members on Sunday, June 7, has brought many of those ambitions to a halt. Potential targets and their representatives are now being far more cautious about making any move that could jeopardize either sporting ambitions or institutional stability during such a sensitive period.
The list of players linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks is extensive. Some have genuinely sought a move to the club, while others have benefited from being associated with Los Blancos as a way of strengthening their position in negotiations elsewhere. The name mentioned more frequently than any other has been Rodri Hernández.
The Spanish international has been repeatedly linked with a move to Madrid in recent months, although sources at Valdebebas have consistently denied any concrete interest. More recently, one of the presidential candidates referenced the midfielder’s name, but people close to the player have dismissed suggestions that any agreement exists.
The next player to emerge in transfer speculation was Bernardo Silva. Jorge Mendes, the influential agent who also represents José Mourinho, presented the Portuguese midfielder as a possible option. However, the battle for his signature currently appears to be between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, with the Catalan club believed to be in pole position. Real Madrid quickly distanced itself from the initial proposal. Whether that stance changes if Mourinho eventually takes charge remains to be seen.
Enzo Fernández, Vitinha and João Neves remain on the radar
Joško Gvardiol entered the conversation through a former Real Madrid figure. His potential departure from Manchester City is tied to the uncertainty surrounding the club following Pep Guardiola’s exit. The Croatian defender has appeared on Madrid’s shortlist on several occasions in recent years, but the major obstacle remains the sizeable investment City made when paying around $91 million for him.
One factor working in Madrid’s favor is that Gvardiol has only two years remaining on his contract and reportedly harbors a strong desire to play for the club.
Alongside those names, several other players have been thrust into Real Madrid’s orbit as the search for reinforcements continues. Enzo Fernández is said to be one of the players most actively pursuing a move to the Spanish capital, while links to Vitinha and João Neves appear driven more by fan enthusiasm than by concrete negotiations.Even so, the election period has fueled a fresh wave of optimism among supporters eager for major signings.
Ibrahima Konaté has also resurfaced as a potential target. With the defender now holding the prospect of becoming available on a free transfer in the future, his contractual situation has effectively become a valuable bargaining chip and an increasingly attractive opportunity for interested clubs.
