Neymar’s situation is still top news. It is appears that the Brazilian could soon be heading out of the exit door at Paris Saint-Germain - although it’s not the first time that he has been rumored to be on his way out.

However, this time, things are different. Recent events have made Neymar’s situation more complicated. So much so that ex-player Emmanuel Petit has dared the player to leave PSG. After a group of ultras approached the player’s home in Paris, he sees no other viable solution. Neymar’s season was ended after he underwent surgery on his right ankle at the beginning of March.

“I have always defended him and more in recent weeks, especially with the savage horde that showed up at his house insulting him and his family and asking him to leave. They are dragging him into the mud when he has already been enduring the worst part during the past couple of years (...) But I’ll say it once again: Neymar, go now! leave! Do what Messi did, call it quits. Don’t stay here in France and in Paris,” Petit said.

I also think it would be a good thing for PSG because when a divorce is final, there’s no point in trying to find an amendment to the divorce. For the good of both parties, it has to end now,” the 52-year-old added.

After joining PSG in style in the summer of 2017, Neymar, who turned 31 back in February, can bring his time in Ligue 1 full circle. The option being bandied around the most at the moment is Manchester United although manager Erik ten Hag refused to give any new updates in today’s press conference. A new adventure in the Premier League may be just around the corner for Neymar...
