PSV increase their offer for Napoli forward, Hirving Lozano

The Mexican forward has been linked with a move away from Italy all summer, and now it looks like his former club are pushing to get the deal over the line.

Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano could finally be on his way out of Napoli after his former side PSV accelerated their efforts to bring the Mexican forward back to the Netherlands.

It seems that the player could well be on his way to where it all started in Europe for the forward, given that the relationship the player has with Napoli is practically broken and irreparable damage has been done.

The Dutch team put €10 million ($11 million) on the table as a starting offer, a fee which was swiftly rejected by the Italian champions for their winger.

How much have PSV offered to Napoli for Hirving Lozano?

According to information from Daniel Reyes Villaseñor, PSV improved their original lowball offer for the Pachuca youth team product, going back to Napoli with a slightly improved number of €12 million ($13 million) for the player who shone in his first years in Europe. Some reports suggest that the Italian side are, however, holding out for an offer closer to the €18/20 million ($19 million) mark.

The reports say that Chucky would be delighted to leave Napoli for PSV, where it all began for him. Despite playing a key role as they won their first title in decades, the Mexican winger has started on the bench for Napoli’s most recent games, and would be happy to do anything he can to see the move come to fruition.

Armando Martínez, Pachuca’s president, however, somewhat went against this suggestion, saying that Lozano was holding out for “the best economic deal”, that “the league didn’t matter” to the player, and that “his decision would be based on [money].”

Could Chucky go to MLS?

It is worth noting that the Italian side are looking to keep a hold of any potential future sale percentage that they can as they negotiate the exit of the 28-year-old. Were PSV to accept this proposal, it could see the transfer move into the final stages over the course of the next few days.

Napoli have also signed Jesper Lindstrøm, a player who could potentially take Chucky’s place in the team, meaning that the pieces look to finally be falling in the right direction for all parties.

MLS had been interested in the player, with various teams in the US soccer league singled out as potential candidates for Chucky, but it seems that his heart is set on a romantic return to the Netherlands and the American revolution will have wait for a few more years at least.
