Update:

It’s been confirmed that Real Madrid won’t have Alaba back for Tuesday’s match against Napoli. This is the main headline in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad list for the second matchday of the Champions League group stage, as there was a possibility that the centre-back would be available for the clash against the Italian team after sustaining an injury last Wednesday against Las Palmas.

Napoli vs Real Madrid player news

To compensate for the shortage of central defenders, the Madrid coach once again places his trust in Castilla’s Álvaro Carrillo, who was on the bench at Montilivi but did not see any playing time. The presence of this defender at the Maradona stadium could take on particular importance in preparation for the next league match against Osasuna. This is because for that game, Ancelotti might only have Rüdiger as a central defender from the first team, as Alaba’s injury doubt is compounded by the highly expected suspension of Nacho following his crazy tackle on Saturday.

The complete squad list for Real Madrid:

Goalkeepers: Lunin, Kepa, Cañizares.

Defenders: Carvajal, Nacho, Lucas Vázquez, Fran García, Rüdiger, Mendy, Carrillo.
