Thousands of fans are in the Plaza de Cibeles in central Madrid to celebrate Real Madrid winning their 14th European Cup. The Spanish giants beat Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final in Paris.

Real Madrid fans traditionally gather at Cibeles fountain in the centre of the Spanish capital to celebrate their triumphs, with the team, where possible, bringing trophies there to present them to the fans, and the Goddess Cybele herself. Cybele is an Anatolian mother goddess who was adopted by both Greek civilisation and later Rome.
