Real Madrid issues emphatic statement on Enzo Fernandez rumors
The Spanish giants have responded publicly after reports linked the Chelsea and Argentina midfielder with a move to the Bernabéu this summer.

Real Madrid has once again moved swiftly to shut down transfer speculation.
Just as it did earlier this summer regarding Michael Olise, the club released an official statement categorically denying reports linking it with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. This time, however, Madrid went a step further, explicitly stating that it has “no intention whatsoever” of pursuing the Argentina international.
The club’s message left little room for interpretation.
“The club considers it necessary to categorically deny these speculations, which are unfounded and do not reflect reality,” the statement said, appearing to bring one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas to an abrupt end.

Real Madrid’s midfield plans remain uncertain
With Enzo Fernandez ruled out and Mateus Fernandes now off the market after completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur, attention turns to whether Real Madrid will make an unexpected midfield signing before the transfer window closes.
For now, the club appears prepared to continue relying on Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Thiago Pitarch, while new arrival Bernardo Silva is also capable of operating in a deeper midfield role.
Even so, there is still time left in the transfer window to address one of Madrid’s biggest weaknesses from last season: replacing the creativity and control lost following Toni Kroos’ retirement and Luka Modric’s departure.
Full Real Madrid statement
“In light of the information and statements that have emerged in recent days regarding an alleged interest from Real Madrid C. F. in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not made any efforts, either directly or indirectly, aimed at signing the aforementioned player and, furthermore, has no intention of pursuing such an operation.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernández, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely recognized, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.
“Precisely out of respect for an institution like Chelsea FC and the principles of institutional loyalty that have always guided Real Madrid’s actions, the club considers it necessary to categorically deny these speculations, which are unfounded and do not reflect reality.
“Real Madrid regrets that, despite the clarity of the facts and the absence of any action by the club, information continues to be disseminated that does not correspond to reality and only serves to create confusion among fans and unnecessarily harm the entities and individuals involved.”
