Real Madrid team news ahead of Valencia clash: Arda Güler, Kepa, Rüdiger...

Real Madrid trained on Friday ahead of this weekend’s match against Valencia in the Spanish capital.

Arda Güler has been called up for Real Madrid’s last two games but has not played a single minute for the club yet. The Turkish talent worked in the gym for Real Madrid’s last training session before Saturday’s match against Valencia at the Bernabéu. Carlo Ancelotti revealed last Saturday that the club’s coaching staff had prepared a specific fitness plan for Güler.

Kepa out

After undergoing scans on Thursday, today’s tests have confirmed that goalkeeper Kepa is suffering from a right thigh injury, according to a medical report released by Real Madrid. The Basque netminder picked up the injury in the warm-up for Wednesday’s match against Braga and will be out for three weeks.

International break

For the time being, Kepa will miss tomorrow’s game against Valencia. His absence has led to the presence of several goalkeepers from the club’s academy in the first team training session. Piñeiro, Fran, Guille and Súnico joined the session alongside Andriy Lunin. The international break will minimise the impact of Kepa’s absence, who will still miss the games against Cádiz (Nov. 26) and Napoli (Nov. 29) but he could be ready for Granada’s visit to the Bernabéu (Dec. 2).

Rüdiger suspended

Ancelotti had up to seven absentees in Friday’s session. In addition to the Basque goalkeeper and Arda Güler (who is training indoors), Dani Ceballos and Aurélien Tchouameni remain sidelined, as do Thibaut Courtois and Éder Militao. Centre-back Antonio Rüdiger was also absent, and he will not feature due to suspension. Jude Bellingham - who did train with his team-mates - didn’t play on Wednesday as a precaution after injuring his shoulder.
