Sebastián Jurado looks set to leave Cruz Azul or FC Juárez. The goalkeeper lost his first-team place several months ago and is looking for a new challenge.

Although he has not been officially announced as the team’s new sporting director, Ivan Alonso continues to make moves behind the scenes and one of the departures that is looming is that of Jurado, who could end up at FC Juárez, according to information from TUDN.

Costly errors

Jurado stopped getting game time after committing several errors under Ricardo Ferreti, the coach who started the season with Cruz Azul, and later Joaquin Moreno, who ended the campaign in the club’s dugout.

The goalkeeper, who joined from Tiburones del Veracruz, also lost the confidence of the club’s fans after the historic 7-0 drubbing by América, but he continued to have opportunities, however, he was unable to redeem himself between the sticks.

In addition to Jurado, Iván Morales terminated his contract with the club in what was the first confirmed departure of the winter transfer window. Alonso is expected to make several more changes to the team, including that of Jaime Ordiales, who is no longer in the side’s plans.
