Spain launched an unbelievable opening salvo at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar when they demolished Costa Rica 7-0 in their Group E matchup. And if it’s true that you shouldn’t try to fix what ain’t broken, then La Roja will be fielding almost the same starting lineup that it did in its fantastic win, when they go head-to-head with Germany in their second game.

In contrast to Spain’s first game, the Germans wasted a lead in theirs, and eventually lost 2-1 to Japan, bringing them to a do-or-die situation.

Spain manager Luis Enrique proved in their first game that his experiment of building a mostly young and talented team is working. He will ride on their momentum to try and extend their winning ways.
