The Estadio Azteca will be full for América vs Pumas in Liga MX: tickets sold out
The home team announced that there are no more seats available for the game against Pumas, which is to be played this Saturday at the Estadio Azteca.
There will not be a free seat in the house for América vs Pumas after Las Águilas announced that the tickets for the match have sold out. Through their social networks, the team thanked their fans for their support, who went out of their way to sell out the tickets and guarantee a full stadium at the Azteca on Saturday night.
“Águilas! Thanks to your unconditional support, the tickets for the game against Pumas are sold out. #SomosAmérica”, the team posted.
Chaos at the Azteca ticket office
América’s announcement comes just one day after the chaos that broke out at the ticket offices of the Coloso de Santa Úrsula when the tickets for the duel between the two sides went on general sale. Thousands of fans of both América and Pumas, went to the on Wednesday in search of a ticket, causing problems for the workers.
The few security guards that were in place could not prevent the riots and chaos when the sale began. There were confrontations and reports that illegal resale vendors were taking control of the few tickets that were available for the game.
The game will break the Azteca attendance record
With the tickets sold out, it will be no surprise that the game will become the one with the best attendance record of the entire Clausura 2023. Just last Saturday, Cruz Azul vs América was confirmed as the game with the highest attendance, registering a total of 66,364 spectators at the stadium. The game at the weekend is expected to surpass that number.
