AC Milan’s tumultuous season was perfectly encapsulated in a breathtaking 90 minutes against Parma.

The Rossoneri staged an epic stoppage-time comeback, securing a dramatic 3-2 victory that keeps them in the hunt for a Champions League spot, now just five points away. After a defeat to Juventus and a win over Girona, manager Sérgio Conceição was on the brink of another setback—but his team roared back in the nick of time.

The match began with a tightly contested first half. Álvaro Morata, flanked by Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão in attack, led Milan’s early efforts, but parity was broken in the 24th minute. Luca Cancellieri sprinted past the defense and unleashed a precise left-footed strike from the edge of the box, beating Mike Maignan to put Parma ahead.

Milan responded swiftly. Morata appeared to have equalised, only for his goal to be ruled offside. In the 38th minute, relentless Milan pressure forced Parma’s goalkeeper, Eiji Suzuki, into a clumsy foul on Luka Pavlović inside the box. Christian Pulisic stepped up to the penalty spot and calmly slotted home, maintaining his perfect record with 12 goals from 12 attempts.

The second half opened with a tactical shake-up as Conceição replaced underwhelming performers Theo Hernández and Leão with Davide Bartesaghi and Ismaël Bennacer. Later, in the 57th minute, Samuel Chukwueze and Tammy Abraham came on for Fofana and Morata. However, the substitutions didn’t yield immediate results.

Parma reclaimed the lead in the 80th minute after a lightning-fast counterattack. A rebound off Maignan fell to Enrico Delprato, who made no mistake from close range, sending the visiting fans into a frenzy.

Then came the chaos of stoppage time. Pavlović’s header seemed to level the score, but the goal was overturned by VAR for offside. Undeterred, Milan found their equaliser in the 92nd minute when Tijjani Reijnders converted a perfectly timed vertical pass from Yunus Musah.

Just three minutes later, Chukwueze completed the comeback, deflecting a Bartesaghi cross with his knee after Pavlović’s clever flick.

In a span of five electrifying minutes, jeers turned into jubilation at the San Siro. With their hopes for European glory still alive, Milan’s dramatic win left fans dreaming of what’s next.

The Rossoneri are now back in action as they chase a coveted spot among Europe’s elite. Can they keep this momentum alive?
