Update:
What did Nasser Al Khelaifi say about Kylian Mbappé and him leaving PSG?

Amidst all the buzz in Paris, with Luis Enrique’s highly anticipated presentation looming, another scorching topic with tongues wagging was the enigmatic Nasser Al Khelaïfi. The president of PSG decided to grace us with their presence, playing the role of the opening act for the Asturian sensation at his debut press conference. The media, hungry for answers, wasted no time bombarding them with questions about the future of the one and only Kylian Mbappé.

Paris Saint-Germain is playing hardball with Kylian Mbappé. Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made it clear that if Mbappé wants to continue his stay, he better ink that new contract. No free rides for the French champions.

“Our position is very clear. If Mbappé wants to stay, we want him to stay, but he must sign a new contract. We can’t let him go free. He’s not thinking of walking away for free. If someone has changed his mind, it’s not our fault.” Said the PSG president.

What are Kylian Mbappe’s options for leaving PSG this summer?

The favorite to sign the player is Real Madrid. The Spanish team is said to be the French forward preferred destination. But to have him this summer, they will have to pay at least 350 million euros for the player, about 380 million dollars. A sum Real Madrid doesn’t seem able to afford, as they have 250 million euros designated for him, 272 million dollars in all.

The biggest hurdle is that the player wants to be compensated with around 100 million dollars as a signing bonus. And as mentioned above Al-Khelafi is looking to get money for the player, something Los Blancos can’t afford.
