Weston McKennie’s time at Juventus seems to be coming to an end because of the high salary he is demanding. The Serie A side is ready to part ways with the United States international and several clubs have inquired about him as the transfer window approaches.

McKennie’s demands

Tottenham is very interested in signing the American and head coach Antonio Conte has praised him in the past. The problem is that McKennie is demanding a high salary if he leaves the Serie A side in January and that has complicated the negotiations.

While Juventus is looking for a solution to his demands, manager Massimiliano Allegri will keep using the midfielder when needed during the second half of the season. The 24-year-old has scored one goal and provided one assist in 11 appearances in the Serie A so far this campaign, nine of them as a starter.

McKennie might see a reduction of minutes once Paul Pogba reaches full fitness, but Allegri has confirmed that he doesn’t know when the French international will be ready to make his return. Pogba was expected to play against Napoli on January 13, but he suffered another setback and this means that McKennie will continue playing alongside Adrien Rabiot in the midfield.
