Why was Cubarsí sent off for Barcelona against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League
The Barcelona defender got his marching orders just before the break in the first leg of the quarter-final at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí was sent off in the 44th minute of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atlético Madrid after a VAR review.
The Barça player brought down Atleti’s Giuliano who had broken away and was sprinting through on goal. The referee initially gave a foul right on the edge of the box and a yellow card, but then was given the instruction to check the play on the monitor.
