With just seven matches to go, this is how the 24/25 LaLiga title race shapes up for Barça and Real Madrid

With just seven games outstanding in the current LaLiga EA Sports 24/25 season, the battle for the title has boiled down to a two horse race between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid with Atletico still in contention, albeit Diego Simeone’s team would need a small miracle to become crowned league champions.

Both the Catalan giants and Real Madrid faced tricky tests this weekend at relegation threatened teams as they took on Leganes and Alaves respectively with both sides recording hard-fought 0-1 wins. As things stand, Barça are still very much in control with a four point advantage over ‘Los Blancos’.

Barcelona also face Madrid at home in May and with a 0-4 win at the Bernabeu earlier in the season, hold a strong advantage with head-to-head the employed metric by LaLiga should teams finish level on points at the end of the campaign.

Both teams are still in contention in both the Champions League at the quarterfinal stage and the heavyweights of Spanish football will come face-to face in the forthcoming Copa del Rey final too on April 26.
