Not selected in the random draw for World Cup tickets, what can you do now?
FIFA has begun confirming to fans who were selected in the third round draw their application for tickets to the 2026 World Cup.

Exactly four months before the start of the 2026 World Cup, FIFA has begun to communicate with fans who applied for tickets in the random selection draw in the third phase of the ticketing window.
FIFA will share an update on the number of applications that were successfully received in this phase, a figure that will be added to the 500 million applications overall throughout the first three phases of the World Cup.

In this third phase of ticket sales, which was categorized as the ‘random ticketing phase’, FIFA allowed fans to select the match or matches they wished to attend, and if selected, supportes would receive a confirmation, which has begun to arrive.
In this confirmation email, FIFA specifies the tickets for which each user was selected as a ‘winner’ and the total cost that will be charged to the payment method provided after the request for the 2026 World Cup matches. You will be charged depending on the number of matches chosen, as well as the category and be charged accordingly.

What happens to the fans who weren’t selected in this third phase?
The news isn’t great for fans who weren’t selected in this third phase of World Cup ticket sales but there will be one final stage where fans can try to get last minute tickets.
FIFA confirmed a few months ago that the fourth and final phase of ticket sales will be enabled in April, and will be subject to availability for each of the 104 matches of the World Cup on a first-come, first-served basis.

This fourth phase of ticket sales will be a general sale, but at present, there is no information as to what games will have general availability, in what particular category tickets remain and where priority will be given to those who arrive first and fans will be able to buy tickets for the matches of their choice, as long as there are still tickets available.
To do this, fans with a FIFA account can pre-register for this final phase and will receive a confirmation, allowing them to later access the sale with the hope of obtaining tickets in this final phase.
