Why is Jordan Henderson on the bench for England against Norway? Henderson injury update
The Brentford midfielder was a surprise inclusion on the England team sheet, just days after a shocking arm break.

England have named Jordan Henderson on the bench for the World Cup quarter-final clash against Norway on Saturday. Henderson was not expected to feature again this summer after a freak injury last weekend.
Henderson slipped and fell during the post-game celebrations after the 3-2 win over Mexico in the round of 16. The Brentford midfielder had to be stretchered off the field and the injury was quickly diagnosed as a broken arm.

He was seen sporting a substantial cast ahead of the Norway game but was named to the matchday squad and took part in the warm-up. The cast remains but Henderson remains a key figure in the Three Lions squad.

All reports suggest that Henderson is extremely unlikely to feature against Norway but he will be a part of the matchday preparations, allowing him to sit on the bench for the game.
