The always-good-for-a-quote Argentinean reckons Ronaldo has nothing to worry about and doubts Neymar will be joining Madrid any time soon.

When it comes to footballing matters, Diego Armando Maradona has never been one to shy away from giving his opinion. This time the Argentinean was coaxed into talking about the beautiful game during the presentation of a cycling competition, the third edition of the Dubai Tour. Currently residing in the Middle Eastern country, the legendary number 10 added his two cents on Napoli’s current strong form, which has propelled the Maurizio Sarri-managed side to the top of Serie A: “I think this could be their year and not just because of Higuain’s goals but because they’re playing so well. The only problem – according to the Gazzetta dello Sport – is Juve. Juventus always win and if they continue like that it’s going to be very difficult for Napoli”.

The 1986 World Cup winner also had a message for Cristiano Ronaldo before weighting in about the speculation linking Neymar to Real Madrid. “I haven’t spoken with Cristiano, but I don’t think he has anything to worry about, he’s a great player. Neymar to Madrid? I don’t think so”.
