Isco vows to come back stronger after transfer-window saga

It’s been a difficult summer for Isco. After a season where he was unable to find any continuity due to a lack of first team football, followed by his omission from Spain’s Euro 2016 squad, the player and fans alike began to harbour doubts over his future at Real Madrid, and especially so towards the end of the transfer window. Finally, however, he decided to stay, and now the Malagan maestro is only looking ahead.

Injury recovery

The midfielder is focused firstly on getting back from the injury he suffered last week (causing him again to miss out on Spain selection) and then trying to find his way back in the Real Madrid starting 11.

Isco – who has been taking advantage of the international break to recover from his ankle knock by working in the gym – sent a message to fans on Friday through his Instagram account to let them know of his dedication towards getting back on the field.

"We continue working to come back as soon as possible!" he posted.

Madrid play Osasuna at the Bernabéu next Saturday with Isco fighting to be in contention for the squad.
