AFC Project Future Referees 2014 concludes

Programme aimed to develop not only the young referees’ on-the-field skills but also values and attitude off the field.

AFC Project Future Referees Batch 2014 have recently concluded a 2-year programme with a Final Development Course held in Kuala Lumpur.

Eight Member Associations and 12 participants attended the 5-day course conducted by FIFA/AFC Referee Instructors Ali Al Traifi of Saudi Arabia and John Chia from Singapore, who were assisted by FIFA/AFC Referee Fitness Instructor Ahmad Khalidi Supian of Malaysia.

Batch 2014 is the 7th batch of young referees who have gone through the AFC Project Future Referees Programme which was started in 2007.

The programme involved four courses. The First Development Course was held in March 2015 in Kuala Lumpur followed by the Second Development Course in Male, the Maldives, in August of the same year.

The participants then progressed to the Third Development Course which was held during the Sanix Cup tournament in Fukuoka, Japan in March 2016.
