Paco Jémez to La Volpe: "We'll sort this out like men on Saturday"
The Cruz Azul coach was responding to a comment from La Volpe (Club America boss) claiming that the Spaniard spouted "hot air".
Paco Jémez and his Cruz Azul side managed to overcome Querétaro 3-0 in Copa MX yesterday after a poor run of results for the side from the Mexican capital.
The former Rayo Vallecano coach is experiencing a tricky period of acclimatisation to Mexican football as Cruz Azul languish in 16th position in an 18 team league.
Jemez is not without his detractors in Mexico and the latest episode were comments from Club America boss Ricardo La Volpe who claimed that Jemez was full of “hot air”. "I'm not one to talk about other managers as I respect them, but those who are sent over to Mexico and are full of hot air" sated "El Bigotón" alluding to the Spaniard. These comments came in the week that Cruz Azul face Club America in a Liga Mx fixture,
After last night's cup game Jemez was asked about La Volpe's comments and offered the Mexican an invitation: "I'll say to Ricardo La Volpe that if he has anything to say to me on Saturday, before or after the game, then he can accompany me to a quiet secluded spot, where no-one can see us, where no-one can bother us and then we'll sort out our differences like men !"
